PAWS, Professional Animal Walking Service is a friendly, reliable and personal service offering you peace of mind and comfort in the knowledge that your pet is being provided for and cared for whilst you are at work, on holiday or simply in need an extra pair of hands to help with the load.

PAWS, based in Crystal Palace, predominantly covers the surrounding South East and West London area and provides dog walking, boarding, half / full day care, pet sitting and a pets to vets service. I also offer one to one dog training and behaviour consultations. All services can be tailored to your personal needs.

PAWS is owned and operated by Helen Abbott and is fully insured and CRB (police) checked.

About Me

Having grown up in a family with several rescue dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters, animals and their care has always been close to my heart. Since early 2007 I have worked at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, first as an Animal Welfare Assistant and then a Rehomer and Behaviour/Temperament Assessor which I continue to do on a part time basis.

My bespoke training at Battersea has included dog training, basic agility and poling and dealing with aggressive / high risk dogs. I have also completed workshops and courses with leading dog trainer Nina Bondarenko, in basic animal photography and Tellington T Touch with leading practitioner Sarah Fisher.

I have my own beautiful rescue dog, Ellie, and regularly foster both cats and dogs from Battersea who are recovering from illness or injury or simply not coping in kennels. I have been walking dogs professionally since 2005 and established PAWS in Nov 2008 in order to expand the services I can offer.
